On Monday, to get the teams imagination going, I taught them the following game:
Everyone gets one piece of paper. At the top we write a one sentence story, then fold it and hand the paper to the person to our right. That person reads the story and attempts to make a drawing of the story. They then fold the paper so that the story is hidden, and only their drawing is showing, and hand it to the next person. This person needs to translate the drawing into a story, and so on and so forth until the original author receives their paper back. The original author then unravels the paper and sees how distorted the original story has become:
This exercise definitely ended in tears of laughter and put us in a light and happy mood that helped us become more creative and think like a child.
Also Kylie, Kat and Sophie had a go at a logo design:
There is a huge variety here, but I don’t feel we’ve nailed it yet. We will do more attempts to get the right one.
