This week has been very unproductive for me due to illness. I am hoping to be functional again next week.
However, at the end of last week, the team did a Lotus Blossom Diagram, which was really useful. In groups of two, we grabbed a couple of key features of the installation, and found existing works that exemplified these traits, and listed why this worked in that particular installation.
I would expand on this more if I wasn’t so unwell.
As project manager, I also allocated research areas to each member according to their skills and interest. I will be looking into narratives.
I think we really need to be aware of the short turn around for this project. We can spend too long research and discussing without producing a clear vision and prototype. Once I’m back into the swing of things, I will make sure that I keep everyone on track and veto ideas and activities that I believe would be more of a distraction than a benefit.
During the holidays we have scheduled a meeting to commence at my place to present our research findings and rudimentary prototypes. As long as we hit this deadline, we should be in a good position for our next presentation to Auckland International Airport.
